Amanda Black Replies Trolls “More Love Than Hate”

In a recent interview on 947 Joburg, SA singer Amanda Black gave a response to cyber bullies.

Two months ago, the sensational singer made headlines for dressing inappropriately at the Maseru Jazz Festival.

Despite being quiet about it then, a few of her industry friends tried to shut the trolls up. In the recent sit-down, Mo Flava asked her what she had to say about her appearance and to those who roasted her.

“First of all, the trending itself was based of off one person’s perspective. And then the picture went viral, and I was just getting calls and people asking me how I am and stuff.

Amanda pointed out that she gave a great performance and that was all that mattered to her.

“I always say at my shows I’m not an entertainer, I understand I work in the entertainment industry. Unfortunately for me, there is nowhere else I can do this music thing because they’ve boxed us in here. The outcry from people is that my hair wasn’t combed. I don’t have a comb;

30-year-old Amanda advised artists like her to focus on their art instead of appearance.

“Listen, if it were up to me one day, I’m going to get on stage naked because this thing has got to stop. I’m an artist literally. It’s spiritual… so for me and every other artist. I feel “this whole thing of This is how you must look, and this is how you must present yourself to me. “ I just feel like we’ve come very, very far from what we’re here to do, and now we’re more concerned about how we look and how we do on the red carpet”
