Out of the 12 Nigerian men, the women will collectively select eight men through online speed dating. After the selection, they will travel to Nigeria to meet with them in person.
From their eight favorites, the women pick one man to take back home. They move into a gorgeous villa in Cape Town to see if they want to head forward together as a couple.
Bae Beyond Borders which is produced by Zinzi Velelo Alake will be available for streaming on Showmax from October 23.
Alake, after discovering love with a Nigerian man herself, is convinced that humans can find love anywhere.
“I created this show because I found love beyond borders. I am a South African woman who fell in love with a Nigerian man, and blending our cultures has been life-changing.
Furthermore, the executive producer said she hopes to unite countries with the series.
“The show was also created to unite Africans in love and to shine a light on a different kind of love people usually do not get to see and I am excited for people to see it.”
