Bongi Ntuli’s Wife Breaks Down at His Memorial Service

The wife of late Bongi Ntuli, Sne Zungu, opens up about his illness and last days at the memorial service.

The grieving wife paid a heartfelt tribute to him during a memorial service at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Wednesday, November 8.

In an emotional speech, Sinenjabulo Zungu-Ntuli shared insights into Bongi Ntuli’s illness, hospitalization, and his final days.

“What am I supposed to do? On Friday, two days before our wedding, he was taken to hospital in the am because he was struggling to breath. I was instructed to continue with preparations for our wedding as per instructions. Around 9:10 the doctor called me and told me, my husband is very, very ill.”

“Your departure epitomises everything you were, quick, fast and unexplainable. You were everything my love. Thank you for loving me loudly, boldly. You were one brave guy.”

“The doctor told me how much Bonginkosi loved me. The doctor knew everything, where we were married to preparing for a traditional wedding soon.”

According to IOL, she expressed her feelings about missing the countless phone calls, ice cream trips, and shared moments watching football highlights with her late husband.”

“Bongi has left a big hole in all of our hearts. I thank God he took his last breath in my hands and our mother’s. At least I was there with you until the very end.”
