Burger And A Grape Snow Cone: Origin And How To Use The Phrase

Published

Burger and a grape snow cone has nothing to do with food. It is a slang used by netizens to describe sexual acts. It defines the act of oral sex. Specifically 69ing. The vagina is referred to as the burger, while the snow cone is the penis.

Burger And A Grape Snow Cone

The terms are a reference to the Alan Jackson song “Chattahoochee” in which he sings, “I was willin’ but she wasn’t ready / So I settled for a burger and a grape snow cone / I dropped her off early but I didn’t go home.”

The term was introduced in 2021 when TikTokers encouraged viewers to look up the term. Fast forward to 2023, this phrase saw a resurgence. Although it has not been confirmed Jackson was referring to oral sex in his song, Gen Zs have continued to use it in that light.

In 1993, Alan Jackson released a song titled “Chattahoochee” with the lyrics

“Well we fogged up the windows in my old Chevy

I was willin’ but she wasn’t ready

So I settled for a burger and a grape snow cone

I dropped her off early but I didn’t go home”

The spread of The Song

As at the time this song was released, many did not think of the line “So I settled for a burger and a grape snow cone” as sexual. However by 2013, people grew older and they started inquiring what it meant.

By July, 2020, Urban Dictionary user Alan Jaxsun defined “the song   “A handjob given out of pity when a girl rejects your offer for sex.” On March 4th, 2021 NowYouKnowBruh dropped a more refined meaning.

A euphemism or phrase that describes oral sex or 69. When two people enjoy a ‘burger’ and a ‘grape snow cone’, the burger represents the vagina (also known as fur burger) and the grape snow cone represents the penis (something to hold and lick, the grape flavor representing the purple color of the head of the penis).

In October 2021, TikTokers began posting videos about the lyrics, encouraging viewers to Google “burger and snow cone” to learn the meaning. One of the earliest of these videos was posted on October 25th, 2021 by TikToker @freighttrainofficial, where he purposely defined the term as Jackson innocently going to get a burger and snow cone, garnering over 2 million views in two years.
