Cyan Boujee Responds to Ex-Manager’s Assault Claims
DJ and influencer Cyan Boujee, also known as Honour Zuma, has addressed recent assault allegations made by her former manager, Wellington.
The social media personality gained attention over the weekend when gossip blog Maphephandaba reported Wellington’s accusations following a gig in Mpumalanga.
According to the Instagram account, Cyan Boujee allegedly physically attacked Wellington, kicking and punching him until he lost consciousness. The blog stated that he was promptly taken to the hospital. A case of assault was filed after he received medical attention.
However, Cyan Boujee has vehemently denied these allegations in a brief video response. She asserted that the claims “do not make sense” since Wellington is a 49-year-old man. The DJ, known for owning up to her actions, emphasized that she would not deny the accusations if they were true.
In her explanation, Cyan Boujee conveyed her focus on growing her brand and achieving greater success without Wellington. She also hinted at possible bitterness on his part. She expressed determination in elevating her career internationally, despite the challenges.
“We are moving forward, going international. If someone can’t accept that they’re no longer part of the Cyan Boujee brand due to their past behavior, that’s a consequence they have to face,” she stated.
Cyan Boujee concluded by addressing her team’s decision not to delve into further details, citing time constraints. She encouraged people to choose sides, emphasizing her commitment to moving on and rising above the controversy.
“So, peace out, choose your side. Are you staying with the team, or are you moving to the victim’s side?” she concluded.
