DJ Sbu and TK Nciza Get Dragged into Zahara's Untimely Death

As South Africa mourns the tragic loss of the beloved songstress Zahara, criticism is being directed at TS Records co-founders DJ Sbu and TK Nciza. They stand accused of ‘exploiting her.’

Businessmen DJ Sbu and TK Nciza are making headlines on social media following the passing of Afropop sensation Zahara.

The drama between Zahara and DJ Sbu dates back several years when she accused the TS Records co-founders of exploiting her.

In 2019, Zahara claimed she did not receive royalties from her debut album “Loliwe.” The album sold over 500,000 copies and earned her numerous awards.

DJ Sbu, however, disputed these allegations, insisting that Zahara always received her due earnings. The feud escalated in 2021 when Zahara reiterated her financial struggles. She accused TS Records of owing her millions of rands.

In a podcast interview last year, Zahara revealed that her booking fee ranged from R80,000 to R120,000, but DJ Sbu and Nciza would only provide her with R15,000.

The ongoing dispute intensified during Zahara’s challenging times, such as her near-loss of a townhouse in Roodeport. She attributed her financial difficulties to DJ Sbu and Nciza.

This latest controversy has resurfaced on social media following Zahara’s passing. It has reignited the longstanding feud and raised questions about the relationship between artists and their record labels.

The public awaits further developments as DJ Sbu and TK Nciza face renewed criticism in the wake of this sad event.
