DJ Tira and Naakmusiq Give Off Some Bromance

Well-known South African musicians DJ Tira and Naakmusiq have reportedly reconciled and are back collaborating in the studio.

Despite previous rumors of discord and bad blood between them, it appears that they have patched things up and are working together once more.

The rift between Tira and Naakmusiq stemmed from financial disagreements four years ago. Reports suggested that Naakmusiq had confronted Tira at his home in Ruimsig, west of Johannesburg, demanding payment for downloaded music. This dispute led to the end of their longstanding friendship, especially as Naakmusiq was signed under Tira’s label, Afrotainment.

“They have sorted their issues out and are back together working on new projects,” a source revealed. The artists recently collaborated with Mayonie founder Zakhele “Zakes Bantwini” Madida, completing that project before moving on to their own. The source added, “Naak is very happy to be back together with Tira, feeling he is the only producer who understands him and his music. They have a successful history and are eager to create more quality music.”

Naakmusiq shared pictures of their studio sessions, captioning one “Studio camp day 4.” While the images sparked diverse opinions, some even hinting at more than just friendship, both musicians chose to ignore such comments.

Sources close to them affirm that the duo has resolved their differences. Currently, they are both focused on crafting new music that will resonate with their fans.
