DJ Zan D. apologizes to Okmalumkoolkat for not considering him a lyricist.

A while ago, the record producer gave a list of his top 5 lyricists. Okmalumkoolkat found this offensive because Zan did not mention him. The rapper did not let this slide and he called out DJ Zan D on social media.

In response, seeing that what he said was offensive, the DJ apologized to Malum.

“I respect @okmalumkoolkat profusely. He is one of the greatest to ever do it. I’ve apologized about my statement to him directly and we have addressed the situation. I won’t be replying to each and everyone about this matter any further. Lesson learned: we need to narrate and document our culture accurately to avoid confusion and misinformation in future,” Zan wrote.

Malum acknowledged the apology by replying “Sharratz to @djzand its all love, it’s always good to learn from the greats.”
