F1 2023 Calendar, Driver Line-Ups & Sprint Races

Published

F1 teams have already revealed their 2023 contenders, so we can say that the 2023 F1 season has started! The 2023 FIA Formula One World Championship calendar has already been announced by Formula 1, and was recently approved by the World Motor Sport Council.

The 2023 season was supposed to be first F1 season in history to feature 24 races in its calendar with the addition of the Las Vegas Grand Prix and the return of the Chinese Grand Prix. However, the Chinese Grand Prix was eventually removed due to restrictions in the country, therefore reducing the total number of races to 23, with a record-breaking 6 Sprint weekends! We believe you’re as excited for the new season as we are, and in this article, we’ll present you with the full F1 2023 race calendar, the Sprint race calendar, and the driver lineups.

Pre-Season Testing and F1 2023 Season Kick-Off

The pre-season testing, which is one of the most realistic indicators of how the new season will potentially shape up, is taking place from the 23rd to the 25th of February at the Bahrein circuit. The first race is scheduled just a week later, on the 5th of March, which makes for the perfect opportunity for bettors to get good odds and free spins 2023.

The F1 caravan will stay in the Middle East for the two weeks that follow, with the next race being the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix, which will take place on the 19th of March.

The next race takes the F1 circus in the land down under, with the Australian Grand Prix being scheduled in early April. The next race is the Azerbaijan Grand Prix on April 30, and the Miami Grand Prix is only a week later.

Mid-Season and European Races

Traditionally, the F1 caravan moves to Europe in late spring, and the first race on European soil will be the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in Imola on the 21st of May. Following that is the Monte Carlo Grand Prix and the Spanish Grand Prix on in early June.

The Canadian Grand Prix will take place on June 18, followed by the Austrian Grand Prix in early July and three other European races in the following month: the races in Silverstone, Great Britain Grand Prix, Hungaroring for the Hungarian Grand Prix, and the Belgian Grand Prix on the iconic Spa Francochamps track before the summer break.

The traditional Summer break will last from August 1 to August 27, when F1 returns in Netherlands on the Zaandort race track. Next in line is the Italian Grand Prix, followed by the Singapore Grand Prix on September 17. Suzuka will host a race again on September 24, and F1 will return to Qatar after the break in the end of September.

F1 will move to the American continent through the midst of October, returning with the USA Grand Prix on the COTA track, the fan-favorite Mexico GP, and the Brazillian GP in early november.

For the grand finale, the final two races will be somewhat of a spectacle. F1 cars will run through the famous Vegas Strip for the first time in history, with the first Las Vegas Grand Prix scheduled for 18 November (Saturday). Product owner Tony Sloterman believes that this will be quite the spectacle and a sight to be seen. Traditionally, the season will conclude with the final race being held on November 26 in Abu Dhabi.

Sprint Races

Sprint races were introduced to Formula 1 for the first time in 2021, and in 2023 we’ll see a record of six sprints. The six sprint weekends will take place on:
