From Radio Station to Pulpit, DJ Sgqemeza Becomes a Pastor

Earlier this year, Ukhozi FM radio presenter DJ Sgqemeza made a significant announcement about turning over a new leaf and embracing a life following Christ.

Despite beginning his journey into preaching, he mentioned ongoing training to become a pastor. The co-presenter of the Ukhozi FM breakfast show recently confirmed that he has successfully been ordained as a pastor.

Sgqemeza shared that he had been diligently studying to become a priest over the past few years, culminating in his recent ordination. Reflecting on his spiritual evolution in an interview with ZiMoja a few months ago, he disclosed his 15-year commitment to being a churchgoer, emphasizing his decision to abstain from alcohol and nightclub performances.

“I have accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior, and I am proud to tell the world,” he affirmed.

Sgqemeza’s shift to becoming a priest has sparked diverse reactions among his fans and followers.
