“I Am Praying” Vusi Nova Speaks About Zahara’s Health

Singer Vusi Nova recently shared his concerns about his close friend, award-winning musician Zahara, who has been in the hospital for over two weeks.

Expressing his heartbreak, Vusi Nova revealed that Zahara, also known as Bulelwa Mkutukana, has been unresponsive in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for nearly three weeks. According to Zimoja, the Loliwe hitmaker was initially hospitalized before being moved to the ICU.

Vusi Nova recalled that the last time they spoke, Zahara appeared healthy and happy as they were preparing for a gig in Mozambique. He emphasized the shock of her sudden deterioration, saying,

“There were no signs of ill health or anything. She was her usual self. Life is weird at times; you think you are okay and healthy, but your body has other plans. Knowing that she is lying there, helpless hurts.”

The musician has been a constant presence at Zahara’s side, visiting her daily. He noted the unpredictable nature of her condition, stating,

“Some days she is fine, getting better, and some days I leave there crying. At the moment, she is not awake or speaking, and I am praying and hoping that today when I visit her, she will be awake. It breaks my heart to see someone so full of life in this state.”

Zahara’s family had previously released a statement on November 27, confirming her hospitalization and requesting privacy and prayers for her speedy recovery.

The statement mentioned Zahara’s admission to the hospital due to physical pains, with doctors diligently working on her case. The family expressed gratitude for the support and compassion from well-wishers and promised to provide further updates on her health.
