Imlie Full Story, Plot Summary, Episodes, Casts, Teasers: “Imlie” is an Indian TV series that has been airing on Star Life since August 23, 2022. It originally started on Star Jalsha in Bengali, then got remade in Hindi on StarPlus as “Mohi” by Whitehorse Productions. Later, it was remade once again by the renowned 4 Lions Films producer, Gul Khan, as “Imlie.” With millions of viewers already, “Imlie” on Star Life is truly a masterpiece.

The theme of love and marriage is a timeless one. Unfortunately, there is a lot of uncertainty surrounding these topics, especially in a society where forced marriages are the norm. The beautiful and lovable Imlie is no exception to this roller-coaster ride as she faces challenges with the man she is forced to marry. However, her belief in marriage, upbringing, and faith in God keep her bound to this relationship.

Imlie and Aditya are married against their will. Imlie falls in love with Aryan, a man who wants to destroy her husband, Aditya, because he believes Aditya caused his brother-in-law’s death. Those who have watched “Imlie” on Star Life can’t help but admire it as nothing short of a masterpiece.

Summary Of “Imlie Starlife”:

Aditya and Imlie are forced into marriage. Imlie saves Aditya from danger but discovers he intends to marry Malini. Aditya treats Imlie poorly despite her helping him. Malini tries to break them apart, but Aditya eventually falls in love with Imlie. Imlie also forms a close bond with businessman Aryan, and their love story endures even after their untimely deaths.

Imlie Full Story

Season 1:

The first season of “Imlie” introduces the character of Imlie, an 18-year-old girl born out of a one-night stand between Meethi and Dev. Raised by Satyakam, a farmer and human rights activist in Pagdandia village, Uttar Pradesh, Imlie aspires to become a police officer. Her upbringing in a single-parent family has shaped her into a determined and independent young woman.

However, her life takes an unexpected turn when she is forced into an unwilling marriage with Aditya. Despite the marriage being against their will, Imlie saves Aditya from a life-threatening situation. She soon learns that Aditya intends to marry Malini. Aditya, on the other hand, initially treats Imlie poorly, despite her continuous help when he is in need. Malini, Aditya’s former love interest, tries to separate the newlyweds.

As the story progresses, Aditya’s feelings for Imlie begin to change, and he falls in love with her. This development in their relationship creates a complex love triangle. Amidst the emotional turmoil, Imlie also forms a bond with businessman Aryan.

Aditya, a journalist working in New Delhi for Bhaskar Times, made a significant decision in his life. After seven years of dating, he proposed to Malini. However, this pivotal moment led him to Pagdandia, a village, to interview Satyakam, an activist. This visit may hold the key to unfolding further events in Aditya’s life and the story’s progression.

Aditya and Imlie, while exploring the village, get caught in heavy rain and seek shelter in a hut. Unfortunately, their unintended stay together raises suspicion among the villagers, including Imlie’s grandmother. They assume Aditya and Imlie spent the night together and threaten to kill Aditya if the two do not agree to marry.

In New Delhi, Malini faints upon learning of Aditya and Imlie’s marriage. Aditya takes Imlie to his family home but introduces her as a maid. However, over time, Aditya’s family begins to like Imlie, which makes him uncomfortable, leading to mistreatment.

Imlie feels obligated to stay in this situation due to her upbringing, traditions, and religious beliefs, which require her to protect her marriage at all costs. Her heart breaks when Aditya marries Malini.

Aditya, the journalist, travels to Pagdandia for a meeting between Satyakam and the government. He takes Imlie with him and, during their visit, discovers that Imlie is actually Malini’s half-sister. This revelation prompts him to decide to leave Imlie in Pagdandia permanently.

On the night before their planned separation, Imlie saves Aditya from a bomb blast, which leads him to regret his mistreatment of her. She is admitted to a hospital in New Delhi due to her injuries.

While in the hospital, Imlie saves Malini from a dangerous accident. Aditya, realizing the depth of Imlie’s kindness and sacrifice, proposes marriage to her. However, Imlie, being selfless, rejects the proposal and expresses her desire for Aditya to marry Malini instead.

Malini, on the other hand, assumes Aditya is cheating on her and goes to extreme lengths, attempting suicide. She later disguises herself as Kalpana and relocates to Pagdandia, where she discovers her true identity as Imlie’s half-sister.

Imlie, in a surprising turn of events, rejects her biological father, Dev. Aditya, standing up for Imlie, defends her when his family harasses her for being an illegitimate child. Imlie makes a promise to move in with Aditya if his family accepts her, setting the stage for further dramatic developments in the storyline of “Imlie.”

After the annulment of Aditya and Malini’s marriage, Malini is determined to remove Imlie from the Tripathi house. Imlie is forced to rent a hostel far away and accepts an internship offer from Bhaskar Times’ CEO, Aryan.

During her time at the internship, Aryan falls in love with Imlie. His feelings for her grow while he seeks revenge against Aditya, blaming him for allegedly causing his brother-in-law’s death. This creates misunderstandings and further complications in Aditya and Imlie’s marriage.

Aryan becomes a key figure in helping Imlie expose Malini, which adds more intrigue and tension to the storyline of “Imlie.” The series continues to explore the relationships and conflicts between the characters as the plot unfolds.

Season 2 of “Imlie”

Five years later: Imlie and Aryan are still reeling from the loss of their pregnancy. Imlie has chosen to live in Pagdandia village, working as an independent journalist, and fighting against social injustice.

Malini, on the other hand, remains vengeful and has significant shares in Bhaskar Times. She publishes an article that negatively portrays Imlie’s village, which tarnishes the reputation of the Bhaskar Times newspaper.

Aryan decides to visit Pagdandia to resolve the matter. While there, he saves a girl named Cheeni, and later discovers that she is the daughter of Malini and Aditya. Cheeni’s presence leads to a reunion between Aryan and Imlie. They eventually have a baby girl together.

In a dramatic twist, Malini sets a bomb with the intent to harm Aryan and Imlie. Tragically, the bomb goes off, leading to the demise of Malini along with the couple.

These events mark a dramatic conclusion to the second season of “Imlie” and showcase the ongoing complexities and challenges faced by the characters in the story.

18 years: Cheeni, the daughter of Malini and Aditya, and Imlie, the daughter of Aryan and Imlie, have grown into adults. Their paths cross when they encounter Atharva, also known as DJ Arto. Atharva becomes smitten with Cheeni, believing her to be a poetess.

This new phase in the story sets the stage for potential romantic entanglements and the exploration of the lives and relationships of the next generation in “Imlie.” The characters’ interactions and evolving connections will likely bring fresh challenges and twists to the narrative.

Atharva’s family encounters Imlie at a wedding and decides to arrange her marriage to Atharva, even against his will. Cheeni pretends to be in love with Atharva as part of a scheme to secure his property. She manipulates him into marrying Imlie, a decision he initially regrets. However, he soon realizes how Imlie genuinely cares for his family.

Atharva eventually discovers Cheeni’s deceit, including her act of stealing poems from Imlie. Imlie nearly leaves when she uncovers the secrets between Atharva and Cheeni but decides to stay for the sake of her in-laws.

Meanwhile, Cheeni plans to marry businessman Abhishek in order to gain his properties. Imlie supports Atharva through his pain of losing Cheeni. Cheeni cancels her wedding with Abhishek and tries to remove Imlie from Atharva’s family home.

As the story unfolds, Atharva and Imlie fall in love. An accident causes Imlie to lose her memory, but she later reveals that she faked it to expose Cheeni’s deceit to Atharva’s family. In an attempt to get Atharva to marry her, Cheeni kidnaps one of his family members but ends up getting arrested. Ultimately, Atharva and Imlie rekindle their love amidst all these dramatic events.
