Legendary Boxing Manager, Mzimasi Mnguni Dies

Mzimasi Mnguni has died at the age of 72.

He had been battling health problems for years after suffering a stroke in 2014 which left him paralyzed.

Mnguni made history by becoming the trainer who produced the most world boxing champions in the country – such as  “The Hawk” Ncita, Vuyani “The Beast” Bungu‚ Masibulele “Hawk” Makepula, and Zolani “Tiger” Petelo.

He also received Achievement Awards from the Sports Ministry in 2016 and 2017. Since 1990 the trainer has produced more than ten of the greatest world champions.
