“Life Is Carrying On” Tony Forbes Speaks About Life After AKA

Tony Forbes’ son AKA was murdered alongside his celebrity chef friend Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane in February.

Recently, Tony sat on eNCA and he spoke about how life has been since the tragic loss of the renowned rapper.

“We are OK. It is difficult in some ways; it is even more difficult because after seven months we are starting to get to that stage where life is carrying on, and things are becoming more quiet. For me, personally, I feel the gap, the hole of him not being with us anymore. I have my bad days and I have better days. It will be like that for a while. It wasn’t just losing a child, but the circumstances and the emotional side is still there.”

“There are days where one hopes to hear the news that something happened. But we still want to give the process space. We are in touch with investigators and they keep us abreast. It does seem slow but it’s only [been] six months.”

Since AKA’s death in February, the culprit is yet to be captured. However, the cops confirmed finding the gun that was used to murder him. Despite missing him desperately, his family has managed to do good.

His daughter Kairo made headlines recently and won Mzansi’s heart by singing her father’s hits at 947 Joburg’s Day. The bubbly 8-year-old has also been bagging deals with top brands through influencing.

The name, AKA is definitely going to be in the entertainment industry for a very long time.
