Mihlali Ndamase’s Ex, Leeroy Sidambe, Loses over R100k to Scam

Leeroy Sidambe, a controversial businessman and ex-boyfriend of Mihlali Ndamase, recently made headlines for falling victim to a scam, losing over R100,000.

The alleged scam took place when Sidambe attempted to book a luxurious villa in Bantry Bay, Cape Town, through a real estate agent.

Sidambe, taking to social media to confirm the incident, shared screenshots of his conversations with the agent on Maphepha Ndaba’s Instagram page.

The leaked chats, dated December 2023, exposed the details of the scam, including proof of payments made by Sidambe for the nonexistent villa.

Reports indicate that the one-night stay at Bantry Bay typically costs at least R18,000. Despite Sidambe’s efforts to resolve the matter with the agent, the dispute remained unresolved, prompting him to share the evidence publicly.

The blog post on Instagram highlighted the unfortunate situation, stating, “Scammers pounced on Leeroy hard, after paying close to 200K for a villa that never existed. Located in Bantry Bay, the price at the moment is R18,000 per night, says @capebeachvillas to @leeroy_mab.”

Sidambe, determined to recover his hard-earned money, has vowed not to rest until he recoups the losses. The incident comes just weeks after Mihlali Ndamase accused Sidambe and his friend of defrauding her during one of their vacations. Their relationship ended in 2023, barely a year after going public.
