Nandi Madida, DJ Tira, AKA Mourns The Death Of Zulu King, Goodwill Zwelithini

Few South African stars have taken to their social media page to pay tribute to Zulu King Goodwill Zwelithini following the news of his death this morning.

King Gioodwill Zwelithini steered clear of the controversial gay remarks he allegedly made last weekend at the inauguration of Inkosi Samkelo Cele at St Faiths near Highflats on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast yesterday. ÊPicture: THULI DLAMINI

Information reaching our news desk this morning disclosed,he died of diabetes-related issues at the hospital where he was treated. King Goodwill passed on at the age of 72 and was one of South Africa’s largest ethnic group leaders and a very influential ruler.

Taking to her Instagram account,actress Nandi Madida wrote:

 “This is a sad day for the Zulu nation. Farewell to our King Goodwill Zwelithini 🙏🏽👑”

Musician DJ Tira also took to his Instagram account to pay tribute to the late ruler.

“INkosi ikhotheme. My condolences go out to the Zulu royal family and the Zulu nation. As much as we mourn iSilo, we applaud his leadership and legacy that spans over 49 years of safeguarding our Zulu heritage.

“He leaves behind a proud nation that stands on a resilient and triumphant legacy. Uyibekile induku ebandla. Sicela usibheke njalo isizwe sakho. Bayede!”
