Queen Sono’s 2nd Season Is Cancelled The Production Will No Longer Continue

SA actress Pearl Thusi‘s original Netflix series, Queen Sono season 2 will no longer be released has it has been cancelled because of the complications that came with COVID-19.

The African original Netflix series 1st season got lots of viewers from around the globe anticipating the release of the second season but due to the COVID-19 lockdown regulations, the production will no longer continue.

The 1st season which attracted high ratings from people was shot in 37 different locations, which include, South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya and Zanzibar.

Speaking to Channel24, a Netflix spokesperson said: “We’ve made a difficult decision not to move forward with season 2 of Queen Sono.”

He further appreciated the Diprente team behind the series and fans across the globe
