‘Skeem Saam’ Actress’s Father Arrested on Charges of Murdering Her Mother and Grandmother

Amanda Manku, known for her role as Lizzy on ‘Skeem Saam,’ confirmed the arrest of three suspects, including her father, in connection with the murder of her mother and grandmother.

The tragic incident occurred in May 2021, and the suspects were recently apprehended.

According to Zimoja, The Lebowakgomo Magistrates’ Court saw the appearance of William Manku, the actress’s father and a police captain. This occurred on January 10.

The other suspects include David Khoza, a 40-year-old Mozambican National, and William’s 42-year-old girlfriend, Nonhlanhla Ngubo, a police sergeant.

David Khoza was arrested on January 8 at Lebombo Port of Entry in Mpumalanga while attempting to cross into Mozambique. William Manku was taken into custody at Sandringham police station, Gauteng, and Nonhlanhla Ngubo was arrested in Lenasia South.

The motive behind the tragic incident remains unknown, and police investigations are ongoing, according to Limpopo police spokesperson Hlulani Mashaba.

The suspects are currently in police custody. The case has been postponed to January 18, 2024, for bail applications and further investigations.

Amanda Manku released a statement on behalf of her family, expressing gratitude for the public’s support during this challenging time. The family trusts the South African Police Service (SAPS) and the judicial system to ensure a thorough and just resolution to the case.
