‘Skeem Saam’s Amanda Manku’s Father Confesses to Killing His Wife and Mother-in-Law

In a shocking revelation, the father of Skeem Saam actress Amanda Manku has been accused of orchestrating a plot to have his wife and mother-in-law killed.

Manku appeared at the Magatle Magistrates Court in Zebediela, Limpopo, for his bail application. He was accompanied by his girlfriend Nonhlanhla Ngubo and accomplice David Khoza.

During cross-examination, the investigating officer expressed doubt about granting bail to Manku, who is a police captain, and Ngubo, a police sergeant.

The court heard that Manku confessed to planning the murder of only his mother-in-law, Lettie Maphuthuma. Tragically, on May 4, 2021, hitmen killed both his wife, Gladys Manku, and mother-in-law.

The investigator revealed that Manku admitted to finding individuals to carry out the crime. He even drove them to his mother-in-law’s residence.

After allegedly giving them instructions, the hitmen returned on their own and reported killing two people instead of one. Manku, upon learning that his wife was among the victims, reportedly made payment to the hitmen.

The investigator also disclosed that Manku had a history of abuse, with two assault cases filed against him by his late wife. The suspects are scheduled to appear in court again on February 1.

In a recent statement, Amanda Manku confirmed the arrest of the alleged assassins. The family expressed gratitude for the public’s support during this challenging time. They also mentioned their trust in the SAPS and the judicial system to bring closure to the matter. The Manku family pledged to address media requests in due course, acknowledging the difficulty of the situation.
