Media personality and actor, Somizi Mhlongo has just announced his very first project on his social media platform. Taking to his Twitter account, he tweeted

Somizi will be launching the sneaker line today and already, some well known faces arrived including, Jiyane Atelier founder DJ Zinhle and talk show host, Noeleen Maholwana Sangqu.
Bathu was founded in 2015 by entrepreneur Theo Baloyi. It’s also heftily priced, with sneakers costing a whopping R300K. Don’t fret because the sneakers which are inspired by the four precious stones; diamond, silver, ruby, red, and gold cost R1800.
Somizi explained the inspiration behind each design saying it’s the beauty and richness of Africa that inspired him.
In the statement, the two collaborators share an equal amount of excitement about the sneaker collab with Baloyi saying it makes sense for them to work together as Somgaga has supported the brand since the beginning.
“Remember this name…..on yo marks get set ready steady fire GO,” he captioned the post.
Somizi dropped a few words to tell the world he was coming for everything: “Next level, from a TV show to cookbook, to jet, to yachts, to restaurants. Your dreams should scare you. Ain’t no stopping me now, I’m a child of God. The son of my ancestors. If it doesn’t kill you, it should make you richer.”
