The 29th Edition of SAMAs Will Hold in Pretoria

After being canceled in Duban, the 29th edition of the South African Music Awards (SAMAs) will take place in Pretoria.

Initially, The KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) government was supposed to host the Awards in Durban next month. However, the public cried out that the organizers planned to use R20 million of public funds.

The red carpet will kick off at 4 pm. Also, viewers can stream live from the Arena on SABC 1 from 8 pm.

SAMA29 will be hosted on November 18, 2023, at the SunBet Arena at Time Square, Menlyn Maine, Pretoria.

In what is hailed as a show of unity by the music industry, the Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA) is proud to announce that #SAMA29 will be hosted in collaboration with Africa Fest. #SAMA29 will be staged on 18 November 2023 (one day only) at the SunBet Arena at Time Square, Menlyn Maine,” SAMAs wrote.

SAMAs has appealed that the masses buy tickets from R200 at Computicket via the link in their Instagram bio.

Also, voters stand a chance to win R100 000 by voting for their favorite Record of the Year and Music Video of the Year.
