South African Hollywood star Thuso Mbedu has joined the ongoing Hollywood writer’s strike.

The WGA strike started in May when TV and movie writers declared a strike after failed negotiations with production companies. The industry-wide shutdown follows a row about pay and the impact of artificial intelligence on film studios and streaming services.

Alongside A-lister actors, Thuso Mbedu who came to the limelight through the award-winning “The Woman King” has declared herself a part of the strike. She was at Paramount Pictures Studios in Hollywood with a placard.

In conclusion, actors that have shown solidarity include Josh Gad, Yvette Nicole Brown, Keke Palmer and Mark Ruffalo.
