Trvor Noah Gets Criticized for not Addressing the Israel-Hamas war

In the 21st century, global wars have consistently grabbed international headlines. Last year witnessed the Russia-Ukraine conflict, followed by the Israel-Hamas war in October this year, resulting in a significant loss of lives, including children, on both sides.

This Wednesday, the Hamas-run government media office reported an alarming increase in the Palestinian death toll in the Gaza Strip, reaching 14,532 since the conflict began on October 7. Ismael al-Thawabta, the office director, revealed in a press conference that among the deceased were 6,000 children and 4,000 women.

The toll of injuries surpassed 35,000, including 205 medical personnel, 22 civil defense team members, and 64 journalists.

Additionally, over 7,000 people were reported missing, with more than 4,700 being children and women.

As reports on the war persist, South African-born comedian and TV host Trevor Noah faced criticism for not addressing the Israel-Hamas conflict in his new podcast, ‘What Now? With Trevor Noah.’

Despite featuring high-profile guests like Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Bill Gates, some followers expressed dissatisfaction with Noah’s focus on international figures and the absence of commentary on the ongoing conflict.

The podcast has delved into discussions ranging from The Rock’s personal struggles to Bill Gates’ insights on technology and society’s future, but the lack of attention to the pressing global issue has drawn criticism from some of Noah’s audience.”
