Two Children Drown Different Incidents In Port Elizabeth

In Port Elizabeth, two children have drowned in different incidents and the Police Diving Unit is urging parents to ensure their children’s safety when going to beaches and dams.

A boy around 12-year-old was nowhere to be found while swimming in a dam at NU 12 in Motherwell and another incident, the body of a 16-year-old was gotten from a dam in Walmer.

The bodies were retrieved by the SAPS Diving Unit and the PE K9 Search and Rescue team. However, police are probing into what caused these drownings.

Parents are advised to make sure that the safety of their children should be a top priority.
