DJ Sabby Mtshali, renowned for hosting the #BestMornings, will be taking the stage as the main event host. Joining him is the stylish Nomalanga Shozi, a KZN beauty and media personality.

Meanwhile, Hope Mbhele and Thuthuka Mthembu will grace the red carpet at the SunBet Arena at Times Square, this Saturday.

The SAMA faced uncertainty and collaborated with Africa Fest after the decision to move the awards from Durban.

The controversy arose when the KZN Department of Economic Development, Tourism, and Environmental Affairs reportedly allocated R28 million to host the awards. MEC Siboniso Duma announced the cancellation of hosting the SAMAs in Durban, citing extensive consultations and a collective decision-making process.

DJ Sabby, also known as “The Best Thing Ever,” is a prominent figure in African urban youth culture. Nomalanga, aka “The Flame,” hailing from Port Shepstone, continues to ignite the entertainment industry with her versatility.

Hope Mbhele, known for her roles in Shaka Ilembe, brings her star power to the #SAMA29 red carpet. Promising an exclusive look at all the glitz and glamour.

Actress and former Yo-TV host Thuthuka Mthembu, at 25, will join Hope as a red carpet host, providing viewers with an all-access pass to backstage winners and performers.
