Bongani Bingwa landed himself in the middle of a serious debate when he tweeted about Xenophobia and the march to the Nigerian embassy.
Bongani Bingwa is the host of the Breakfast show on 702. He is the former Afternoon Drive show host. Before joining 702, he was a presenter and journalist on Carte Blanche. His career as a journalist began in 2005 on Talk Radio 702 as a News Anchor and quickly progressed to hosting his own show Talk At Nine.
The radio host questioned the motive behind SAns marching to the Nigerian embassy and faced the story. To get you all caught up, SAns complain about illegal immigrant trafficking and harming the women and children of South Africa. Girls prostituted, and boys dragged into drug dealing and consumption.
Based on past evidence and recent happenings, Nigerian men are the head of these organizations, and SAns want them out of the country. A march to the Nigerian embassy in Pretoria would take place later in the week. The radio presenter took to his twitter and questioned the original motive behind the protest. He asked if it was just a xenophobic act and why the authorities haven’t done anything about the alleged trafficking.
SAns didn’t find his tweet entertaining nad immediately started ashing him. Some, however, decided to educate him on the terrible things Nigeria has done in the country. And others just shared their personal stories and mishaps in the hand of Nigerian drug lords.
