Former Real Housewives of Johannesburg participant, Christall Kay, is rejoicing as she returns to her home after a challenging legal ordeal.

Christall Kay Goes Back Home After Legal Battle

The reality star faced a tumultuous situation over her Kyalami mansion, which she had agreed to sell for R8 million to businesswoman Kholeka Bubu in August 2020.

Dealing with Disappointment

Living as a neighbor to public figures like Basetsane Khumalo, Kay recently shared her ordeal over a deal gone awry.

Originally listed for R18.5 million on Property24 in 2017, Kay ultimately sold her house for a lower amount. The initial deal with Bubu involved a R5 million deposit, with R1 million allocated to Kay’s moving expenses.

Unfortunately, problems arose when Bubu requested an extension for the remaining R3 million, citing insufficient funds. An addendum was agreed upon, outlining a four-installment payment plan of R750,000 each. When Bubu failed to meet the revised terms, a notice of cancellation was issued under the sale agreement.

Triumphant Return Home

Despite the challenges, Christall is now happy to have reclaimed her luxurious residence. A source close to the situation revealed that the house was in poor condition, but Kay is grateful to have it back. On October 18, she conducted an inspection, notifying Bubu’s attorney in advance. However, the situation escalated as Bubu called the police and bouncers, accusing Kay of trespassing.

“I am back in my home after two years of fighting. Now I can relax and enjoy my festive season,” Kay expressed. The legal battle came with a hefty price tag of R4 million, but Kay is optimistic about the future. “I did not get it in the best condition, but now I can decide what to do with it,” she concluded.
