“Confiding in Her Helped Me” Nadia Thanks Bianca Naidoo

Rapper Nadia Nakai recently opened up about the challenging grieving process she went through after the tragic death of her boyfriend, rapper Kiernan Forbes, widely known as AKA.

Speaking with the Sowetan, the public figure shared that AKA’s passing was the first time she had lost someone so close, making the grieving experience entirely new for her.

Acknowledging the difficulty of mourning in the public eye, Nadia found support and solace in Bianca Naidoo, the wife of the late rapper Riky Rick.

Having gone through a similar loss with Riky Rick’s passing a year prior, Bianca played a crucial role in helping Nadia navigate the pain. She expressed gratitude for Bianca’s understanding and shared conversations that provided comfort during this challenging time.

In the interview, the 33-year-old also extended her appreciation to AKA’s parents, Lynn Forbes and Tony Forbes, and DJ Zinhle, the mother of AKA’s child, Kairo.

Despite the different dynamics of losing a boyfriend compared to a son, Nadia highlighted Lynn’s remarkable ability to empathize and support her through the grieving process. The rapper expressed love for Lynn and Tony, emphasizing the growing closeness they shared since Kiernan’s passing.

Nakai also spoke highly of the incredible support she received from DJ Zinhle and Kairo. She appreciated how the family allowed her to maintain her relationship with Kairo, providing a sense of continuity and allowing her to experience Kiernan’s presence as if he were still there. In expressing her gratitude, Nadia referred to this support as making her feel like God favored her during this difficult period.
