Court Denies Bail For Gangsters Accused Of Killing 7-Year Old Emaan Solomons

Simons Town Magistrates Court on Friday. has denied bail for gangsters, Chivargo Fredericks and Eben Basson who were accused of firing the shots that led to the death of a 7-year old Emaan Solomons.

The gangsters were arrested shortly after Emaan was shot dead in February. The case against Basson and Fredericks has been transferred to the Western Cape High Court.

Emaan’s death vexed Ocean View residents and the high rate of gang violence in the community which had claimed the lives of many children was highlighted.

It’s understood that the accused were targeting a rival gangster who initially tried to kill their leader. However, instead of hitting their target, the little girl was hit.

She died in the hospital.
