COVID-19 Status In SA: 2,056 New Cases Recorded

The Department of Health has recorded 2,056 COVID-19 cases, which takes the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 721,770.

In the past 24 hours, 53 more COVID-19 death has been confirmed by the Department of Health and this takes the death toll in the country to 19,164.

However, the recovery rate still stands steady at 90%, which translates that about 649,935 people have recovered so far.

Taking to twitter, the South African doctor, legislator and politician who served as the Minister of Health, Dr. Zweli Mkhize gave this report.
