But don’t fret, because starting on the 19th of July, 2021, a fresh and exciting soapie named House of Zwide will take its place.

Funani and Faith Zwide are the leaders of the rapidly growing House of Zwide fashion and textile empire in the country.

In the early days of their company, Faith, who used to be Funani’s secretary, had a romantic involvement with Funani. Unfortunately, Funani’s wife, Busi, discovered their affair. In an attempt to explain and apologize, Faith approached Busi, but things turned ugly, leading to a physical altercation.

During the fight, Faith, in a panicked state, used a pair of scissors to harm Busi, leading to Busi’s tragic death. In her distress, Faith reached out to Isaac, a hitman who happened to be her ex-boyfriend and still had deep feelings for her. Isaac agreed to help Faith.

Isaac and Faith hatched a plan to set the house on fire with Busi inside, making it appear as if her death was a result of the fire. After Faith left, Isaac went ahead with the plan.

Isaac successfully set the house ablaze, unaware that Busi and Funani’s children, Nkosi and Zobuhle, were inside. As he was leaving, Isaac heard a newborn baby crying, which turned out to be Zobuhle’s baby. Instead of leaving the child to perish, he decided to raise the baby as his own and named her Onalerona.

Years later, Onalerona aspires to become a top designer in the fashion industry, unaware that her past is bound to catch up with her.
