Jaylen Fleer, a 30-year-old Californian, was found guilty of child molestation under the child molestation laws.

Jaylen Fleer used to work as a county sheriff in San Diego County but now faces a 12-year jail sentence on 20 counts of felony and misdemeanor charges related to his actions involving young girls under the age of 16.

What Crime Did Jayleen Fleer Commit?

Jaylen Fleer was accused of sexually abusing children from March 27 to April 8, 2020. The allegations arose after San Diego County Crime Stoppers received a tip about an unidentified man committing sexual acts on teenagers and underage girls.

Following thorough investigations, Jayleen was added to the list of suspects. Three girls who had experienced misdemeanors at his hands were identified.

He became the prime suspect, was removed from office, and arrested. His first court appearance was on July 31, 2020.

Was Jayleen Fleer Found Guilty, and When?

Jaylen Fleer was found guilty and sentenced to 12 years in custody on June 18, 2021.

According to judge Hopkins, he had never seen more despicable facts in a case before. The evidence presented showed that Jayleen not only committed sexual assault on these girls but also offered them money and asked them to involve their friends.

He engaged in reprehensible acts, including attempting oral sex with a 16-year-old and other sexual activities with 14 and 15-year-olds.

Jaylen Fleer full name is Jayleen Devon Fleer, and before becoming the San Diego County Sheriff, he was a former baseball player. He attended Santana High School, where he played on the baseball team. He also pursued his education at Grossmont College and was part of their baseball team as well.
