Judge Adjourns Jacob Zuma’s Court Case To September 2020

Published

Judge Kate Pillay has decided on a hearing date for former President Jacob Zuma on the issue of his fresh arm deals.

The date for the hearing is scheduled for hearing in court on the 8th of September 2020. Zuma appeared in court for a pre-trial hearing in the High Court in Pietermaritzburg.

State Prosecutor Billy Downer says the delays by Zuma’s legal team are unfair as they’ve had more than enough time to prepare.

The Former president defence Council claims they don’t have enough information to proceed with the trial they also claim Jacob Zuma has long been crucified and it’s unfair that they are being accused of dragging their feet.

Jacob Zuma was accused of receiving bribes from French arm company Thales. His first appearance related to this case was in 2005.
