Lasizwe Succeed In His #R10GoesALongWay Campaign…….”We Literally Did it!”

Famous media personality cum comedian, Lasizwe has  eventually succeeded in his #R10GoesALongWay campaign which he started few days ago

The comedian petitioned people to contribute R10 in an FNB account to help raise funds for the #FeesMustFall WITS students who are struggling to register for 2021 due to unpaid fees from previous years.

A few days ago, Lasizwe disclosed he has managed to raise over R300k so far thanks to companies which include; Pick n Pay who contributed R10 000, Chivas Regal gave an amount of R25 000, African Bank donated R10 000 including 10 laptops to students, Clyrofor SA donated R39 000 and KFC gave away R50 000, this was also to mark their 50th birthday milestone.

Famous celebrities like Jessica Nkosi who contributed R10 000 and Sarah Langa also provided an amount of R 20.

Well, he has been able to raise R1M in 5days.

Lasizwe made the news known through his Twitter page thanking those who made it possible and who might have contributed one way or the other.

He tweeted;

“WE DID IT JOE! We raised R1 000 000.00 for students to get registered in Universities in 5 days!!! We literally did it! Thank you to every single one of you who contributed R10 to this initiative. WE REALLY DID THAT!!”
