Nandi Madida uses her new single ‘Organic‘ as a medium to honor her African ancestors and their curves.

The artist, Nandi Madida is a fashion model and featured as the vocals on DJ Franky hit song ‘Tonight’. She recently had rumors hanging all over her marriage but has thankfully been cleared.

In a form of respect, she is dedicating her new single ‘Organic’ to her ancestors. A certain woman woman to be precise, Sara Baartman who was abused for having curves. She explains it all and tells that thought behind her song. She did this with the caption;

“My new single ORGANIC is dedicated to the late Sara Baartman who was born in South Africa 🇿🇦 🙏🏽.

We see her body being appropriated in mainstream media, but she was never celebrated but rather tortured and abused for her African curves that you see so many emulating today. OUR ANCESTOR went through so much.

This song is a celebration of our African bodies and although the world will never say how they admire and long for our bodies, although they do when buying them. It’s important that WE LOVE OURSELVES, because we’re not going to get it anywhere else.
