SA actress, Rami Chuene, won’t agree with tweeps on this as she counterblasts a tweep with the name Gugu Petunia, who called upon women to observe a five day fast, in hopes of eradicating Gender-Based Violence.

Rami had earlier spoken publicly about what she feels is a lack of interest in Gender-Based Violence by the South African government. In June 2020, she addressed President Cyril Ramaphosa in a direct tweet after he had banned alcohol during the nationwide lockdown.

“We cannot hide men’s behavior behind alcohol abuse. The actress said men kill all day and even when they are not intoxicated. She reiterated that swift arrests and harsher punishments need to be put in place swiftly to combat gender-based violence”.

Rami, along with many other South Africans, were shocked by Gugu’s suggestion and she immediately clapped back with;

“No. No amount of Esther, Ruth, Naomi, Sarah and Mary, not even the badasses Delilah, Sapphira, Jezebel and mother of deception, Eve will get me participating in this. Everything has been taken from women. Everything! How then are we okay to take even the nothing that’s left?”.
