Somizi Gives Credit To Local Artist Who Surprised Him With A Portrait Of His Late Mother

Media Personality, Somizi Mhlongo has taken to his social media to give due credit to a young artist who he commissioned and also  received a surprise gift from.

The young local artist identified as Olwethu Patuleni caught Somizi’s attention when he made a jacket with the face of Somizi’s late mother, Mary Twala designed boldly on the back of the jacket. Somizi promised to wear the jacket once and get it framed.

Somizi has paid for the Jacket but when he received it he got a surprise gift from the artist and it was a painting of Mam Mary. 

Taken to his socials he wrote “When the parcel arrived today I was wondering why it is in a big box kanti this sweet talented young man added an actual framed portrait of my mom and as a surprise gift…coz I only paid for the jacket and the drawing on it”.
