This Is What Reportedly Caused Black Coffee’s Accident
Black Coffee, also known as Nkosinathi Maphumulo, encountered a severe travel accident while on his way to Argentina, as stated by his team.
A recent announcement disclosed that the renowned DJ sustained injuries in the incident. The team has requested understanding and patience for privacy from the media and fans.
The incident occurred during a hard landing and tail strike of the Flybondi B738 at Mar del Plata on January 5, 2024, according to AeroInside.
The Aviation Herald reported that the Flybondi Boeing 737-800 experienced a rough touchdown on Mar del Plata’s runway, resulting in a tail strike.
The aircraft, registered as LV-KJE, rolled out without further incident. However, there were reported injuries, and the plane sustained substantial damage.
Argentina’s Transport Safety Board, JST, deemed the occurrence an accident and initiated an investigation. The airline confirmed that passengers and crew disembarked safely after the hard landing. According to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), flight crashes are infrequent compared to car crashes. Pilot error, bad weather, and mechanical malfunctions are common causes, with turbulence generally not causing structural damage. It is emphasized that air travel remains the safest mode of transportation, especially on commercial airline flights.
