The 20-Month-Old Baby And Her Alleged Kidnapper, Were Found Dead

A 20-month-old baby Bokamoso Blessing Mpembe who went missing and was reported kidnapped on Sunday has been found dead together with her alleged kidnapper, Chepete Petrus Mngomezulu.

It has been reported that the kidnapper killed the baby and committed suicide few days after the kidnap and the bodies were found in Vrede Farm in Petrus Steyn District.

Free State police spokesperson, Brigadier Motantsi Makhele said a manhunt which was launched for Chepete Petrus Mngomezulu ,33, and baby Bokamoso Blessing Mpembe came to an end of Friday when the body was found.

According to Makhele, Chabete and the baby mama were ex-lovers and had an a fight which led to the baby papa, kidnapping twenty months old baby from her mother’s place of residence on Sunday midnight.”

“The mother Khorny and Chepete were ex-lovers and Chapete took the child when the mother went to neighbours to seek assistance after he assaulted her.”

He also added;

“Information was followed and Chepete was found hanging from the roof at one of the houses at a farm where he was an employee whilst Bokamoso’s body was found between the trees not far from the house where Chepete’s body was found.

“At this stage, it is unknown how Bokamoso died, police are waiting for post-mortem results to determine the exact cause of Bokamoso’s death.”

“An inquest and murder case has been registered for further investigated.”
