This Is Why Annie Mthembu Won’t Join RHOD’s New Season

Television personality and businesswoman Annie Mthembu, known for her role in Real Housewives of Durban, won’t be featured in the upcoming season on Showmax.

The decision stems from the financial challenges her husband, businessman Kgolo De Guru faced.

In an exclusive interview with Sunday World, De Guru shared the distressing news, revealing that robbers had stolen from his club, leading to a dire financial situation. Allegations surfaced that he hadn’t been paying staff and artists who performed at his establishments in Durban.

De Guru clarified the situation, stating his wife would return to RHOD when she was ready. He attributed his financial struggles to helping the family of his deceased manager. He further expressed frustration at the tarnishing of his reputation.

Addressing a social media post from one of his resident DJs, DJ Wobbly, regarding non-payment, De Guru defended himself. He emphasized that he, too, was a victim of circumstances.

He revealed that thieves robbed his club of R750,000, attributing the theft to jealousy and envy. The incidents occurred during the busy weekend of Durban July, causing significant harm to his businesses.

Despite the challenges, De Guru asserted his determination to revive his nightclubs, promising full operation before Easter weekend.
