Unathi Nkayi Reveals What Confidence Means To Her

Unathi Nkayi speaks about what confidence is and how she was able to get hers.

Unathi Nkayi is a South African singer, actress, and radio personality best known for hosting shows on youth station YFM and Metro Fm’s drivetime show.

She is best known to television viewers as a judge on the Mzansi Magic reality competition series Idols.

Taking to Instagram, the star made it known to her fans that confidence is mostly build as it is not something they are born with.

“Confidence is built. I believe that confidence is built, not something we are born with or can all assume to possess,” she began.

In her words, the host shared that most journey are not easy when starting as it takes lot of practice and repetition to get to wherever they want to.

“When embarking on a new journey, the uncertainty can make one feel vulnerable and doubtful. Yet through practice, repetition and habit, familiarity is created and confidence built to complete whatever task is at hand.”

Unathi made it clear to followers she didn’t always have the level of confidence she now exudes.

“When I speak of my mental and physical health I had to start somewhere. Wasn’t as fit and committed to myself because I wasn’t confident in myself and, quite frankly, didn’t believe I deserved it. Years later I can only attest my confidence in both those fears to learnt behaviour,” she said.

She concluded by sharing one of her plans for the year.

Unathi mentioned that her plans was to buy a land at home in the EC to build my dream home.

The star shared she is very nervous even with the fact that she is a multiple property owner

“This year I decided to buy land at home in the EC to build my dream home. As a multiple property owner in the residential and commercial space, I have never built my own property so I am VERY nervous.”
