Durban Artists Protest Over Percentage Capacity Allowed For Gigs [Full Video]

Earlier today, the Durban artists concluded and came together to protest over their affected business and made a call to the government to allow their clubs and shows 70% of the capacity so they can earn a living.

#VulaPresident is a cry from Kwa-Zulu Natal artists who are calling on the government to reopen the entertainment economy. With a mobile stage, these Durban artist blocked the N3 highway near the Spaghetti Junction in Durban with a mini concert they held for over two hours. Harmed with placards, they disrupted others from going to their various businesses.

After staying at home for so long without making any income, they decided to take on this protest but it didn’t end well as the police intervened to stop the protest. Some of the artists are DJ Tira, Zakwe, DJ Sox, Zodwa and many more.

The protest which was meant to be peaceful, ended in brutality as 35 people were arrested, 6 were impounded including 2 trucks and many others were badly injured.
