Makhadzi Reveal Insight About Her New Debut Album ‘Kokoba’

Singer Makhadzi is very sure of the effect her album, ‘Kokoba‘ would leave on fans and she decided to share some information about it.

The South African singer and dancer is ready to give fans what they asked for, she is ready to drop her debut album. According to ZAlebs, she revealed some scoop and teasers from the album titled ‘Kokoba‘ meaning ‘Crawl’.

Makhadzi revealed that the album was inspired by fan love she receives and their love in her music and dance moves. The album will be featuring various artists and she says its because she wanted to prove her versatility.

Artists like Moonchild Sanelly, Sho Madjozi, and more are on her album and she talks about her reasoning behind those decisions. More great music should be expected from Makhadzi and Sho Madjozi as she reveals that they are ready to make more in the future. A little tea was also pilled about her relationship with Master KG as he is also on the album.

“They really love my music and my dance moves so that is why I decided to do a dance song which is called Kokoba on the album, and the whole album is inspired by the love I have been receiving,”

“I was try to show people that I can do any music, I did a song with Moonchild and Team Mosha, for Moonchild and Mampintsha I wanted to show people that we are all Africans and we must unite especially when It comes to our diverse languages, and that we must be one,”

“It’s always a good thing to work with him because when me and him collaborate it’s all about talent. He has his own talent and I have mine and we understand each other and everything we touch becomes a hit, and he’s the only producer whom I feel like we understand each other.”

Regarding her relationship with Master KG, she revealed that she is only unhappy that it was public. As she would have preferred it to be private so she’d be recognized for her talent and not other private issues.

The entire album would be about body movement and dance so she advises that fans prepare for it. Afterall people have been cooped up during the lockdown and need a form of release. Already submitted and waiting for approval and release date, she says by Friday she’d reveal the release date.

It doesn’t end there as she talks about how it feels to receive recognition and love amongst other artists. Even some random things were added and she reveals the secret to her everyday glow.

“The only thing I also want and I wish could happen just that it didn’t  happen the way I wanted, I only want people to know Makhazi for her performances and music besides my personal issues but because people already knew about my relationship  there was nothing I can do but my wish is for them to know about my music only.”

“Fans must expect to dance from track number one to the last song because we have been on lockdown and the only thing people want is to dance and good music, so I am giving them the album to dance and have fun.”

“It’s a big thing because we have so many artists in SA and everyone wants to be big so, it’s just that when you do something out of love and enjoying your talent everything just surprises you. I didn’t want people to rate me that I am a best performer because I was doing it out of love, being unique and being myself and representing my culture so people decided to give me the big title to push hard and for me it’s a big thing because I can see that South Africans are noticing that there is Makhadzi.”

“When I go to perform the only thing I want is my dancers to rehearse even though I rehearse with them they know that when I get on stage I will just switch and become something else. Me rehearsing and not rehearsing it’s the same thing, because if I feel like jumping I will do it.”
