Netizens Strike at Minnie Dlamini Again

Following criticism from fans who found her remarks disrespectful, Minnie Dlamini has offered a joking apology to her former boyfriend.

However, her attempt at humor amidst the social media uproar has backfired, with the public expressing that her actions were “painful to watch.” The TV presenter gained attention for what appeared to be a mockery of the soccer star, with whom she had a relationship several years ago.

Last week, Minnie Dlamini faced accusations of throwing shade at Itu Khune in an episode of her TV show, “Curated By Tanqueray.”

In a widely circulated clip, the mother-of-one dramatically commented on her ex, stating, “No man, Khune doesn’t still play.”

When a crew member pointed out that the renowned star participated in the latest Soweto Derby, she responded with apparent shock, saying, “He STILL plays.” However, rather than expressing remorse, Minnie responded with sarcasm.

In a subsequent episode, she remarked, “After teaching everyone what a joke was last week, the socials took that joke and made it a trend. All I can say is [laughing, making money gesture].”

She continued, “I don’t have anything to say about this situation. I just ask that you respect my privacy. I’m also just under a lot of stress. In the words of influencer Mihlali Ndamase: ‘I’m so tired of carrying this industry on my back.’” Unsurprisingly, many South Africans were unimpressed with Minnie Dlamini’s response, accusing her of reaching a new low.
