According to Farpost’s report on Saturday, November 25, Khune is facing suspension and demotion due to alleged misconduct. The incident in question involves Khune arriving for training allegedly under the influence of alcohol.

This reported suspension follows TimesLIVE’s June report. It stated that Khune had extended his stay at the club by one year before retiring as a professional football player.

The publication also adds that the goalkeeper is set to take on coaching and ambassadorial roles within the marketing department in the upcoming season maintaining his long and deep ties with the club.

Fans of Kaizer Chiefs are expressing discontent, with some attributing Khune’s suspension to the club itself. On the other hand, some are pointing fingers at his ex-girlfriend Minnie Dlamini. Allegedly, Dlamini made remarks about her ex on national television.
