Rose Nkau Recounts How Prince Kaybee Influenced Her Mother’s Depression [Full Story]

Rose Nkau‘s mother fell into depression when she first got into Prince Kaybee‘s record label because there was no progress.

Rose Nkau is a Rustenburg  singer who was signed into Prince Kaybee’s Low Key Records. Prince Kaybee found and signed he after she released a cover of a Bob Marley song titled, Redemption.

Rose is the first child of her single mother, and thus, a lot of hope and expectations is placed on her. For a while when she first got signed, things were moving pretty slowly and this led her mother into depression. According to Sunday Times Rose revealed this saying;

“At the time my music was not moving and it seemed as though nothing was happening. When you sign under a label, people expect that we are doing things now and music will be released. My mom didn’t understand that it takes time”…

“She went into a kind of mild depression, she was getting sick a lot. She was not being honest and hiding things from me. I could see that she was wasn’t coping and so I went back home to speak to her. She was not okay, we spoke about everything and she was really supportive.”

Having had that conversation with her mom, she was in her feelings and got the inspiration for ‘The End’. Her single, ‘The End’ has made its rounds ad her mom seem to be very proud of her latest achievements.

The singer also adds that Prince Kaybee played a huge role ad has been a miracle in her life from the beginning. Rose revealed that she was in shock when he first introduced himself. But in the end she is happy to be signed with him and excited for fans to hear what she has been working on.
