“I Haven’t Had An Income In 3 Months.” – DJ Zinhle Cries Out

South African disc jockey and musician, DJ Zinhle claims she has made no income for the past three months, still, some companies want her to perform for them for free.

She made this known in a twitter post on her page on Tuesday, 14 July 2020. The post suggested that she was frustrated and fed up of the request to perform for free despite that the pandemic has affected her income.

She explained that in order for her to do a performance, she would be risking her life to be at the required venue, and is confused as to why companies do not acknowledge that she has not received an income since the pandemic started.

Am I the only artist who gets highly offended when a reputable company/organization asks for a free performance. Like, njani? How am I gonna risk my life going out to record a stream for free when I haven't had an income for 3 months.
